This morning, in a peaceful little ceremony, The 'Reflections of the Hawkesbury' 2020 mosaic project was officially unveiled! We are so proud to be a part of this amazing community project, and we thank everyone at Be & Co. Hawkesbury for the amazing work that you do.
About the project:
The mosaic comprises four circles that reflect the local area, with the river as a central, linking motif and a patchwork of fields surrounding it. 57 people completed a total of 68 sections that were then slotted into place within the circles.
All the pieces make a whole, and the whole is more than the sum of its parts. This is our community, full of individual stories of real lives and when we connect with each other, great things happen.
Lead by Marion Shapiro, local mosaic artist, and funded by
Hawkesbury City Council, the artwork has provided a wonderful opportunity for our community to reconnect.
